Our Why
What did you want to be growing up? Before understanding how to use her creativity in the design world, soccer is what Lauren knew and loved. Inspired by the U.S. Women’s National Team, Mia Hamm and the 99’ers, sport became an early outlet for creativity, discipline, focus, teamwork and leadership. Her athletic career reflected a sustained commitment to excellence and wellness. Lauren compete at the state level in cross-country, set an indoor track record, and later emerged as a leader in soccer as an all-state captain while playing on an elite club team and as a member of the Illinois Olympic State soccer team. She continued to Miami University as a Division I soccer player, where they were MAC Champions. During her collegiate career, Lauren made the decision to go all-in with her creative academics pursuing graduate studies in architecture and establishing the ground work for her design journey today with Lauren Ashley Allan LLC. Rooted in the belief that athletics, like design, develops character through process. Lauren champions student-athletes who demonstrate commitment, enthusiasm and intention, as well as, their wellness facilities which allow them to excel in their sport. Team sports reinforce values that impact individuals and communities, leaving a lasting legacy.

Why focus on process?
Process-focused athletes and students learn to adjust, iterate and keep going, because success is tied to consistent effort, not a single score or event. Over time, Lauren has learned to love the process. The process is the destination, it’s where the memories are made and the living is done. Elite performance isn’t a one-time event; it’s built over years.
What are the chances of going D1 ?
About 2.4% of girls who play high school soccer go on to play NCAA Division I women’s soccer.
Roughly 0.9% or 1 in 5,700 girls in the U.S. age 14–18 will play D1 soccer.
